Marketing Assistant - a unique opportunity for a unique individual

We are a fast moving consumer goods company (based in Newmarket) distributing to department and supermarket channels. We have a small head office team (of 8) and wider sales team of 45 women. Our very able Marketing Assistant is heading back to her native European homeland and we need to replace her.

As a key member of the CXC head office team you will support the marketing and sales team to develop and produce collateral for a broad range of marketing and trade initiatives, as well as implementing systems and processes to support these activities.

Your experience and marketing studies will be underpinned by first class project management skills, top communication and interpersonal skills, exposure to quantitative and qualitative research, adept problem solver, a strong customer service ethic and be organized with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work across multiple business units to achieve your objectives. You need to possess fabulous creative flair, very strong initiative and a mature outlook. Furthermore, you will be flexible and adaptable to lend a hand with whatever comes your way!

We are offering permanent part-time hours (5 days per week 9.30am to 2.00pm), reporting directly to the Managing Director/Marketing manager.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with development and implementation of marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain sales and marketing processes
  • Research and pre/post event and promotional analysis.
  • Working within budgetary constraints (POS, media)
  • Develop and implement promotional activities Maintenance of website/facebook.
  • Management and distribution of POS

Sales & Trade Marketing

  • Develop relationships with sales managers with view to understanding their needs in presenting promotional activities, events/pr initiatives etc.
  • Support the managers in achieving their sales targets.
  • Development of Trade marketing tools.


We seek:
  • Degree qualified marketeer
  • FMCG experience
  • High degree of computer literacy, especially in MS Excel.
  • Line management experience
